The title of the book that I am going to share with all of you is entitled 'A Place Called Here' by Cecelia Ahern.
The story is about a lady called Sandy Shortt and for some reason, she does not live up to her name. She is very tall, which is the reason her friends wonder why she was called Sandy SHORTT.
When Sandy was only ten years old, her classmate, Jenny-May Butler, vanished all of a sudden.
Ever since that day, she has been haunted by what happens when something or someone disappears. Most of the time, she was not able to find what she has misplaced and the missing people were never found. Finding has become her aim in life. When Sandy was older, she started a missing persons agency.
Jack Ruttle is desperate to find his younger brother Donal who vanished into thin air on his birthday a year ago. So, when he spots an advertisement for Sandy's missing persons agency, he is certain that she will be able to find his missing brother.
But then Sandy disappears too, stumbling upon a place that is world away from the only one she has never known. It is a place where lost things and missing people go. The only place where all her answers were, in a place called Here. Many people there told her that once you enter Here, you can never leave. Now all she wants, more than anything, is to find her way home.
When I read this book, I did not want to put it down. The story just keeps me in suspense, leaving me wondering what will happen next. In my opinion, it is an interesting and captivating story. Although it is a fiction story, it all seemed so real to me.
Cecelia Ahern is the bestselling author of PS, I Love You, which has been made into a film. She has also written books such as Where Rainbow Ends, If You Could See Me Now, Thanks For The Memories and The Gift.
