The book I'm sharing is called "Shattered Mirror", written by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, a 17 year old. The setting starts in Acton, Massachusetts and there's this vampire hunter witch, Sarah Tigress Vida, youngest daughter of her clan. Her line of witches are the most powerful of the witches and are very violent. Her family has been hunting this vampire, Nikolas for years after he killed a Vida. Then Sarah goes to school and meets Christopher and Nissa, sibling vampires who feed on animals and willing humans, but she does not know they are vamps. As Sarah’s friendship with Christopher begins to turn into something more, she is forbidden to see him by her domineering mother, Dominique. Then, Sarah discovers Christopher’s immortality and his tie to Nikolas - he is Nikolas's twin brother! After a few major events, she is last at Nikolas's house, fighting him and trying to kill him. Christopher shows up, trying to make peace but fails and joins the fight. Nikolas is too powerful and dominates Sarah. He attempts to blood bond her to him, but her blood refuses to accept his vampire blood. It could kill her. So Christopher couldn't bear that fact(as he loves Sarah) and he turns Sarah into a vampire, so that she'll live. She accepts it and moves on with her life. The storyline is quite interesting and it's so descriptive that I could imagine the events happening. It's an awesome book. It was an ALA Quick Pick and called "an action-packed thriller" by Booklist. Read it if you want a different version of something like Twilight! ~Sarah
